About the event
The Being Peace workshop will be a reflective event encouraging participants to consider what it means for them to be a peaceful presence in a turbulent world. Through case studies, exercises and discussion we’ll examine the spiritual and practical challenges of remaining centred with an open heart in the midst of conflict.
The event will be led by Caroline Bruce, Alison Handcock and Simon Keyes from the Bath and Wells Peacebuilding Network, together with Carolyn Merry, the leader of the Ammerdown community, who will share her experience of being in conflict situations around the world.
We will include a period of contemplative stillness, share a soup lunch and, weather permitting, some gentle activity in the garden.
